Time to First Byte (TTFB)

Also called: TTFB

A foundational network latency metric measuring the precise duration between a browser initiating a request and receiving the absolute first byte of data from the server.

Tip from Sanoop: Always test your Time to First Byte settings under a staging environment. Inspecting your crawls via GSC will prevent indexing blocks.
